The city of Glendale is in Los Angeles County. A very long time ago Glendale was inhabited by the Tongva tribe. Then Spanish missioners came, quite naturally. In 1884 the residents of the land gathered and gave the city the name Glendale. At those times an important event was the constructing of El Miradero estate, in 1904, by Leslie Coombs Brand. It was a fine work of architecture in which Indian and Spanish styles were mixed. Today one doesn’t need a huge mansion to gather attention.
